We love this brewer. The best benefit is a fresh, just-brewed cup of coffee every time. The k-cups are more expensive than buying bulk coffee but we were throwing away partially brewed pots of coffee every day with our old brewer. Plus, the savings in time not having to clean the carafe and dump the filter of grounds and then cleaning that is well worth it. Also, you can purchase a reusable filter for it if you want to continue to use non-kcup coffee. Believe me, it is still WAY less expensive than what you pay in the popular coffee houses and the coffee is just as good, or better.
It won’t accommodate a tall cup but it is simple to brew into a glass measuring cup and then pour that into your tall cup or travel mug.
Helpful tip: We did have a clogging problem at first. The manual doesn’t tell you that there is a “top needle” that can get clogged. Just remove the gasket and take a straightened paper clip to unclog it. If you use your own coffee, use a coarser grind to avoid that problem. HOWEVER, we were leaving the k-cup closed up in there and the grounds were getting cold and stayed stuck in the needle. We found that if you remove the k-cup right after brewing, it doesn’t get clogged EVER. Have not had it happen since we discovered that. By the way, Keurig’s customer/technical service is absolutely top notch! They stand behind their product and more than make up for any inconvenience you may have experienced.
For those of you who are confused about the amount of water to pour in, we just take the cup we are brewing it in, fill it with water and pour it in. We never worry about seeing where the water level is.

I have this Keurig in my office at work. It’s perfect for my once-a-day cup of coffee so I can wake-up in the morning.
I received my new Mini Plus as a warranty replacement for my Keurig Mini Model B30. Keurig’s customer service is wonderful, they immediately sent me a new Mini Plus to replace my B30 as they are no longer being made.
I liked the old Mini better until it quit working. (The pump went out on it after just 3 months). This Mini Plus seems to be built more cheaply than the Mini, but I guess time will tell how long this one lasts.
I also have a problem with the lights flashing at times they should not. For instance, you will see the water lid flashing when it should not be flashing. I know I should contact Customer Service with this, but right now as long as I’m getting a cup of coffee out of it, I’m satisfied.
The Mini Plus has some different features. It has a storable cord, but it doesn’t retract on its own, you have to push it in. You need to be careful though, I pushed it in all the way with only the plug sticking out, and it was hard to pull the cord out the next time I used it.
The new Mini Plus also has 3 different fill levels: 6 ounces, 8 ounces, and 10 ounces. The reservoir does not store water, you must add water each time you brew a cup.
I think the 3 water levels is somewhat confusing. It’s hard to see where the correct level should be when pouring the water in. I called Keurig and you are supposed to fill the water until it shows up inside the cut-out of the coffee cup, depending on how many ounces you use. It’s so dark inside the reservoir it’s hard to see. The Keurig representative told me it’s easier to fill a measuring cup with the correct amount and pour it in!
A 5″ tall cup is your limit with this brewer, and to use the 5″ cup, you have to remove the drip tray. This Mini Plus seems to brew a hotter cup of coffee.
I’m hoping this one will grow on me. So far, I’m not in love with it, but it will have “to do” since it’s better than stopping at McDonalds for a mocha every morning. And cheaper too.

This unit is vrey easy to use. First the new water tray has level indicators that allow you to control the amount of water per cup. Some of the k-cups work better with less or more water. This unit allows you to put as much as 10 oz of water per brew. The unit’s display is very to understand and let you know what step is next. The only thing is reminding users to let the tank empty compleatly before closing the top on the k-cup. This unit has been very good on vacations, as it allows you to have your morning coffee that you prefer. There is a tote bag available that holds the brewer and your k-cups in one easy to cary unit. Be sure to shop around, as prices can vary greatly.

I’ve had my B31 mini brewer for about a month and I truly love it. The whole single cup coffee brewer idea is great. I have tried a variety of k cups and have found that I prefer a medium roast, but it is nice to be able to brew a different style when the mood hits.
I was slightly concerned about the fact that the largest size cup this will brew at once is 10 oz, which is a regular-sized mug. I have a few larger mugs and I have found it is very easy to brew two 8 oz cycles using two k cups into my larger mugs.
It is super easy to operate and requires very little maintenance. The k cup brews quickly and is hot. I am thinking about buying a larger model for myself eventually. If you like coffee, I do recommend this system.
